Gunfire has erupted at a hotel in Mali’s capital Bamako on 20 November, according to reports. Gunmen attacked the Radisson Hotel and taken several hostages, according to security sources and witnesses quoted by Reuters.
Attackers started a shooting rampage inside the five star Hotel in the centre of the capital, security sources told the AFP news agency. The gunmen are currently holding 170 guests and staff hostage in the hotel.
Other reports said that three people died in the shootout. The hostage situation is still ongoing. Security forces are on the scene, AFP reported. More to follow..
