A silouhette of God having a nap on the red planet was spotted by NASA’s Curiosity rover last week.
NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity has now been trundling across Mars for three very productive and eventful years and three months. But sometine serious planet exploration bring the unexpected results. This is exactly what happened to the robotic rover after the pictures from it surfaced online.
The unusual image of God’s face immediately caused stir among the leisureless alien-watchers at UFO Sightings Daily sight. Some of them were so impressed with what they saw they even claimed that the illegible figure is actually God having a nap on Mars’ red surface, while other compared it with ancient Babylonian carvings.

Scott C Waring of UFO Sightings Daily said: “Found these faces on Mars side by side. One is looking towards us and the other is looking to the left. The face looking at us has a lot of similarities to the ancient Mesopotamia faces. They were made. They existed once long ago in our solar system. Right next to our planet. They were born, they lived and they died. They don’t need you to believe or not. They are gone.”
The ‘face’ is thought to be an example of pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon when people interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadows as images of animals, faces, or other ordinary objects.
There have been many instances of perceptions of religious imagery and themes, especially the faces of religious figures, in ordinary phenomena. Many involve images of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, the word Allah, or other religious phenomena.
