The Candyman, the Gold Coast tobacco tycoon Travers Beynon, hosted an extravagant bash which is styled similarly to Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion. The bash took place in his Candy Mansion, Helensvale pad, in Queensland.

 

The Candy Shop Mansion, located in a quiet, gated community on Hope Island near the Gold Coast welcomed millionaires, men, women and half-clad ladies of different shapes and sizes. It wasn’t hard to find. Not many other streets around here have a real life elephant named Sabu standing guard out the front. Or a macaque (a small African primate) crawling all over a handler’s head. Or a red carpet stretching past a fleet of Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

 

The party’s just getting started. The first of the guests are trundling out of buses. The Devil’s here, decked out in red. Cat Woman’s here too. Most men are shirtless and there’s even some women in see-through fishnet dresses. Everyone’s well behaved, but no one thinks it will last.

The neighbours aren’t the least bit surprised, even if they don’t quite understand Mr Beynon, the man who makes their cul de sac resemble an African safari.

‘I find it hard to reconcile the Trav on Instagram with him,’ said one experienced local. ‘He’s nice, always apologetic’.

And no doubt the only neighbour who parks elephants on their driveways.

Creepier than the polygamy is the fact that his 17-year-old son has also been known to get in on the action. In one party snap, the bombshells are seen cavorting around totally naked by the pool, with their modesty barely protected by animal print body paint. In another, the girls are seen walking each other on leashes in a kinky display of power play.

 

A third depicts the girls eating sushi off of a starkers stunner, who appears totally comfortable draped on the kitchen table. You couldn’t make this stuff up. WIth 559,000 Instagram followers and open auditions to expand his army of vixens, it doesn’t look like the Candyman or his mansion are going anywhere anytime soon. Looks like his mantra of “work harder, play harder” has paid off.
